Jon Botten: Update on Guard ER Bill

A bill has been amended in the Wyoming Legislature regarding National Guard emergency reponse training requirements.

About two weeks into the 2011 Wyoming Legislative Session, Representative Jon Botten had told us about a bill he introduced to amend one of the pieces of National Guard legislation.

Yellowstone National Park is inviting photographers to share their favorite winter images taken in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem at the 3rd annual Winter Photo Festival to be held in early March. Park Spokesman Al Nash describes what they're looking for.

At the Big Horn Junction just a day ago this sign read 2.99 and now on Friday it reads 3.09. At the major stations in Sheridan things are somewhat better with the price of unleaded rising but still below $3.00 at 2.99. Sure wish the weather would warm up so I could walk or ride a bike.

Detour Ahead

Sheridan's Main Street is now closed from 5th Street to 8th Street - the Detour sign when going north directs traffic toward Broadway. The 8th and Main Street intersection is open while the 7th and 6th Street intersections with Main Street are closed. Note: From 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2nd until 7:00 a.m.

Broncs win big over Cheyenne Central on Senior night

The Sheridan Broncs notched their 15th win on Senior Night, Friday by drubbing the Cheyenne Central Indians 64 to 39. The seniors recognized Friday night are: Dexter Currington, Daniel Zemski, Alex Welch, Raith Durham, Isaac Carrel and Kurt Price. On Saturday the Broncs will play Cheyenne East at home in the final regular season game at 11:45 a.m.

Saturday Sports

Both the Sheridan Broncs and Lady Broncs were victorious Friday night with easy wins against Cheyenne Central. The Broncs won at home 64-39 and the Lady Broncs got their win on the road 78-61. Both teams will tangle with Cheyenne East today, the Broncs at 11:45 at Sheridan High School and the Lady Broncs at East at 1:30. Both games can be heard live on AM 1410 KWYO.
