Bear Cloud Sentence: Life

17-year-old Wyatt Bear Cloud was sentenced in 4th Judicial District Court Wednesday afternoon. Pleading guilty to three charges last September 10th – Felony Murder in the 1st Degree; Felony Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Burglary; and Felony Aggravated Burglary – Bear Cloud is the only defendant of three not to go to trial for the robbery and shooting death of Sheridan businessman Robert Ernst on August 26, 2009. Bear Cloud's guilty plea was NOT the result of a plea agreement with the State.

Osborne Sentencing Date Set

A new sentencing date has been set for Sheridan resident Shawn Osborne, who was convicted of 1st Degree Murder last year in November. Shortly after the trial, Osborne hired his own attorney, Keith Goody from Washington state.

Sleeping on the WYO Stage

Tuesday night 10-year old Kasey Price woke up on the stage of the WYO theater, performed his 2011 "Stars of Tomorrow" Talent Contest audition after which he said, " I am in bed Mom!" The K-5 auditions were Tuesday while grades 6-12 will audition on Thursday at 7:00 pm. The performance of the 50th Annual Sheridan Kiwanis Club contest will be held on Friday, March 4th.

Marty Kobza: Communication & Collaboration

About thirty people attended the community forum at Tongue River High School Tuesday night, where they had an opportunity to get to know about Marty Kobza, one of three candidates in the running for the Sheridan County School District 1 Superintendent position.

Donald Kirkegaard: Up for a New Challenge

Twenty-six people attended an informational forum last night in the Big Horn High School auditorium to listen to and ask questions of Donald Kirkegaard, one of three final candidates vying for the superintendent position for Sheridan County School District One.
