Buffalo's Food Pantry Helps, Especially Around the Holidays

Linda Greet and John Whitney volunteer at the Bread of Life Food pantry in Buffalo last Friday.

Last week, students from Buffalo High School volunteered in numerous ways to raise money and food donationas for the Bread of Life Food Pantry in Buffalo.
This past Friday, their hard work paid off for over 112 people that showed up for help to carry them through the Christmas Holiday.

Buffalo Will Recycle Christmas Trees Again This Year

Residents of Buffalo will have an option again this year when disposing their old Christmas trees. Instead of throwing them out with the regular trash, the trees can be put to good use and recycled into mulch or some other useful material instead of taking valuable space in the landfill.

How about this "showboat" of decorations at the Powder Horn south of Sheridan? This display captured 2nd place in the Residential Lighting Contest for which Kenneth and Nicole Gore received a $200 gift certificate from Landon's Greenhouse & Nursery.

An Award Winner (updated)

The third place winner in The Sheridan Press Residential Christmas Decorating Contest that received a $100 gift certificate from Landon's Greenhouse & Nursery. Adam Zimmer's winning display is located at 643 Kingfisher Avenue - going west on Loucks Street turn right onto Osprey Blvd. and then left on Kingfisher to enjoy the view.

Woof Woof - aka Merry Christmas!

Gizmo all decked out in his brand new outfit is ready for his first Christmas and wishes you and yours a very Merry Christmas.

Honorable Mention

Honorable Mention went to 73 Red Fox Drive in The Sheridan Press Residential Christmas Decorating Contest. You can get to Red Fox Drive by turning right off of West Loucks Street or by turning right off of the Golf Course Road - either way works especially when the roads are not covered with ice and snow.

If you drive up West 8th Street you can't miss seeing 1212 Parker Avenue as it is on the corner of 8th and Parker.
