The U.S. Marine Corps Toys For Tots Program's distribution day will be held all day Saturday in Sheridan. The program has been around since 1947, and for more than 10 years locally, helping parents in need with Christmas gifts for their kids.
Volunteers of America Northern Rockies announced in a media release Friday that they have received a $60,000 donation from the S.K. Johnston Family Fund of the Wyoming Community Foundation. They will use the grant to defray the construction costs of their recently completed Milestones Children's Home.
The Buffalo Bison swim team and the Kaycee basketball teams will kick off weekend sports in Johnson County today as they will all be in competition.
The Bison boys' swim team will host their Buffalo Pentathlon at the Johnson County Family YMCA with the first heats beginning at 4pm.
The team will be in Newxastle on Saturday starting at 10am. The team will then be off until January 6.
