Community Foundation Awards Funds to Jo Co Recipients

Two Buffalo-area entities were recently awarded grants from the Sheridan-Johnson Community Foundation. The Johnson County Family YMCA received a grant in the amount of $7,000 that will be used to purchase fitness equipment for the facility.

Winter Sports Begins This Week For Jo Co Schools

Buffalo and Kaycee High School athletes will begin play in winter sports this week as the basketball, wrestling and boys swim teams compete this weekend.
The BHS boys' basketball team will start their season Friday and Saturday at the East/West Tournament hosted by Cody.
The BHS girls' team will host the East/West Tournament Friday and Saturday at Buffalo High School.
Both the boys' and girls' freshman teams will play at Twin Spruce in Gillette on Saturday.

First Light Up Buffalo Event a Measured Success

Although no throngs of people showed up downtown this past weekend for Buffalo's first-ever Light Up Buffalo event, there were people that participated in the various events throughout the day, and those who showed up to witness the lighting of the community Christmas Tree Saturday afternoon.

SHERIDAN COLLEGE BASKETBALL SWEEPS THE WEEKEND

SHERIDAN COLLEGE BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams swept to victories on both night's of the Sheridan Lions club tournament the Lady Generals are 8-1 overall the Generals are 9-0.

Generals Head coach Steve Smiley says the opponents may have not been that strong but he was pleased with how the Generals played.

Questions about their freshmen guards were answered over the weekend with pretty good defensive play.

The Sheridan Senior Center will be adding something new in December in an attempt to help give caregivers a break from all that they do.

In Munich Germany, Jermaine Lippert's hometown, that would be the title while in America we say "Very good Jermaine." In either language it puts an exclamation point on Jermaine's and the Sheridan College General's blowout over the Bears from Rocky Mountain College in the Dome Saturday evening.
