Free HIV Testing Available Across Wyoming Thursday

Sheridan County Public Health will be offering free HIV testing Thursday.

The Wyoming Department of Health in conjunction with local family planning clinics and public health offices will offer a free service throughout Wyoming this Thursday. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has more.

The Trail End State Historic Site in Sheridan has once again been transformed into a Christmas lovers delight, as the 14,000 square foot mansion boasts seven elaborately decorated trees, and decorations of the season too numerous to mention.

The SheridanAires will present their winter concert this week at the Sheridan Senior Center entitled “Christmas is All in the Heart”. Senior Center Activities Director Jane Perkins says that they've expanded this year's show a bit.

Festival of Trees - Center of Attraction

Normally you look up to see the Festival of Trees banner - today you can look straight ahead. The 19th annual festival is on tap for Wednesday and Thursday at the Sheridan Holiday Inn. This wonderful Christmas-time event benefits the Special Olympics thanks in part to the donated trees, wreaths and centerpieces that will overflow conference rooms at the Holiday Inn.

City of Sheridan Receives State Grant for Water Quality

The City of Sheridan has received a $400,000 grant from the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality to address pollution in Little Goose and Goose Creek. In 2010, DEQ released the Goose Creek Watershed TMDL.

SHS Students Sending Christmas Care Packages To Troops (Update: Taking Donations Until 12/7)

Sheridan High School's W.A.T.CH. program is collecting cards, letters and other items to fill care packages that they will send to the troops this holiday season.

BRONC SWIMMERS AND DIVERS HIT THE WATER

BRONC SWIMMING / DIVING - The Sheridan Bronc swimmers got into the pool Monday night to begin the first day of the 2011-12 season and it was a disappointing first day for new Head coach Brent Moore as only three swimmers and two divers showed up on day one.

There is still plenty of time this week for any freshmen through seniors to come out and begin practice.

Jo Co Kids Learn Business Through New 4-H Program

A new program that pairs 4-H kids with local businesses to learn about the particular business and learn different skills associated with them is a success after the first two kids recently completed the program.

Buffalo's Meadowlark Third Graders to Perform Nutcracker

An annual Holiday tradition will be offered again this year as Buffalo's Meadowlark Elementary School third-graders perform the Nutcracker Thursday, December 1st at the Buffalo High School Auditorium.
