Beautiful Day for Pet-O-Ween

Last Saturday was a beautiful day in Kendrick Park as pets brought their owners to the Band Shell for the 11th Annual Pet-O-Ween Pet Costume Contest. There were 84 entires, with some entries having multiple pets each contributing $5.00 and the selling of raffle tickets together raised more than $1,200 for the Dog & Cat Shelter.

Dow Resigns as SCSD1 Board Chairman

Sheridan County School District No. 1 board of trustees chairman Suzie Dow resigned last week. Dow served for five years, and her current term would have expired in 2014.

Wyoming Jobless Rate 5.8 Percent in September

CHEYENNE (AP) - Wyoming's unemployment rate held steady at 5.8 percent in September. The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services says the state's jobless rate appears to have stabilized, remaining in the narrow range of 5.7 percent to 5.9 percent in each of the past four months.

Tongue River Middle School competed in Buffalo's 3A Volleyball tournament. They defeated Wheatland and Newcastle before defeating Glenrock for the championship.

Some Concerned With Arena at Jo Co Fairgrounds
