Buffalo City Employees to Receive Bonuses

The Buffalo City Council at their regular meeting Tuesday, approved a recommendation of Mayor Skip Hancock to give all City employees a year-end or Christmas bonus.

Johnson County and Sand Creek Ranch have reached an agreement in their nearly three-year dispute over valuation of lands in the ranch conservation community. Johnson County News Director for Sheridan Media, Aaron Palmer, has the report.

BRONC SWIMMING AND DIVING - The Broncs are finished up with their December schedule and will continue working out through the break to make sure they stay in top shape.

Taylor Speigelberg and Nick Groshart have already qualified in multiple events for the state championships and had another good outing last Saturday at the Riverton invitational Head coach Larry White.

White says getting qualified early has it's pros and cons but they are pleased that both guys accomplished qualifying so early.

Sheridan Council Approves Fee Waivers

A groundbreaking ceremony was held in November for the Green House for Living in Sheridan facility that will be located in Northwest Sheridan.

Green House for Living in Sheridan held a ceremonial groundbreaking in early November of this year. Green House recently requested a fee and permit waiver from the City of Sheridan in the amount of $137,568, which was approved by the City Council this week.

Holiday Open House is Thursday at Sheridan Recreation District

The Sheridan Recreation District will be hosting their annual holiday open house Thursday December, 23rd.

It's become an annual Christmas week tradition, the holiday open house at the Sheridan Recreation District office in Thorne Rider Park. Recreation District Executive Director Richard Wright explains what they'll be doing this Thursday December, 23rd.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell from October to November but by a statistically insignificant amount. The Wyoming Department of Employment says the November unemployment rate of 6.6 percent was down from 6.7 percent in October.

Census Shows Wyoming Remains Least Populated State

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - New U.S. Census figures show that Wyoming's population grew a fair amount faster than the national average from 2000 to 2010. Wyoming remains the least populated state and still ranks second only to Alaska for its low population density.
