Library Director Candidates Finalized

The Sheridan County Library System may have a new director by mid-October.

The Sheridan County Library Board met in executive session Thursday afternoon. Spokeman Tony Wendtland has this announcement about the Library Director search.

The five candidates, Wendtland says, all meet the criteria for the position, and represent quite a region.

RENEW 6th Annual Shootout

Mead and Peterson on Wyoming Board of Medicine

Will the candidates appoint people to the Wyoming Board of Medicine who would take a tough stance on doctors prescribing medicine to drug abusers.

4-A STATE GOLF - The Sheridan high school golfers will close out their fall season this week at the 4-A state championships at Bell Knob golf course in Gillette.

The Broncs are considered one of the favorites to contend for the state championship Head coach Larry Martoglio says the Broncs have plenty of competition.

2-A STATE GOLF - The Big Horn and Tongue River golfers will open the first round of the 2-A state tournament in Lusk today.

Sheridan Residents Talk Roads and Reconstruction

Around 40 people gathered at Holy Name Parish in Sheridan last night for a public “workshop.” The goal was to get more “hands-on” input from residents about the potential reconstruction of several streets in Sheridan, including Wyoming Avenue, Sheridan Avenue and Burkitt Street, as well as auxiliary roads. Small groups of neighborhood residents reviewed various reconstruction options.
