Two teams with the Wyoming Rural Development Council are in Sheridan conducting a community assessment that is a follow up to the one they conducted a little over five years ago. One team has been traveling around to various locations in the City to garner feedback and hear from the community, while the other team has been holding listening sessions at the Inner Circle at the Fulmer Library.

Wyatt Bear Cloud, the second of three defendants in the Robert Ernst Murder case, had originally been scheduled to go to trial beginning September 13th. In a rushed Motion to Change Plea hearing on September 8th, he had changed his Not Guilty plea to Guilty on three counts: First Degree Murder; Aggravated Burglary; and Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Burglary.

Sheridan County CASA, which stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate, is in the process of recruiting volunteers to join their program. Jo Forbes is the Volunteer Coordinator for CASA, and says that a new training session will begin Monday, October 4th, with meetings held throughout the month. Forbes explains.
