Dillon Sutherlin Sentenced

Dillon Sutherlin to receive intensive residency treatment as part of his sentence for a January 30th robbery in Sheridan.

17-year-old Dillon Sutherlin was sentenced in 4th Judicial District Court Friday afternoon. Sutherlin, along with Jesse Hamlin and JJ Hatch, robbed David Simmons at gunpoint on January 30th, 2009 at Simmons' home in Sheridan.

The Tongue River Eagles hosted the Glenrock Herders this afternoon. Tongue River trailed early 20-0, but fought hard in the second half to bring the score to within 6. Despite a dramatic comeback by the Eagles, the clock ran out with the final score GLENROCK-26, TONGUE RIVER-20


The Big Horn Rams played Burns at Sheridan High School. Burns took an early lead, but it was all Big Horn from there. The final score was BIG HORN 45, BURNS-14.


Tonight The Sheridan Broncs take on the Wolves in Green River. Sheridan Broncs would win 10-7.

Governor Freudenthal on EPA Regulations and Teton Appraisal

Governor Dave Freudenthal notified the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on Thursday that under current statute the State of Wyoming is unable to regulate Greenhouse Gas emissions and so cannot implement EPA’s Tailoring Rule.

Rebuild of MetraPark Arena Expected to Cost $15 Million

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - Architects estimate it will cost about $15 million to rebuild Billings' tornado-damaged Rimrock Auto Arena at MetraPark with improved sound, more bathrooms and more welcoming entrances.

State Employees Honored for Years of Service

Tuesday, seven Department of Workforce Services employees were honored for their 225 cumulative years of service to Wyoming's residents.

Governor Dave Freudenthal gave a speech, in which he highlighted the importance of dedicated employees whose longevity helps maintain excellence in the service to the state, especially during times of transitioning government officials.

FHA Mortgage Refinancing Program

As of September 7th, there is help for homeowners trying to avoid bankruptcy on their mortgages.

A new government program got underway this week, that could help homeowners who feel they're drowning in their mortgage to come up for air. It's called the FHA Short Refinance Option, and it allows borrowers who owe more on their home than the home is worth to refinance into a government-backed FHA Loan.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs take a 2-0 record on the road today heading for another big game in Green River. The Wolves are 0-2 after losses to Cheyenne East and Kelly Walsh Broncs Head coach Don Julian says the Wolves might be 0-2 but are a dangerous team.

And with the style of play of both teams the broncs are expecting a knock down drag out battle with the Wolves.
