GREEN RIVER, Wyo. (AP) - Sweetwater County commissioners are
supporting an extension of the county's 2 percent lodging tax.

CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A former retirement home worker has been
sentenced to probation in the death of a woman whose wheelchair he didn't strap down in his van.
A Natrona County District Court judge sentenced 43-year-old Jeffrey Goltermann on Friday to serve one to five years of supervised probation and pay $2,500 in restitution.

While there has been much debate over extending health insurance coverage to more Americans, there has been less talk about regions where insurance can almost become a moot point. That's because many rural areas, such as parts of Wyoming, have a severe shortage of health care providers.

Participation numbers continue to rise for the various programs offered by the Sheridan Recreation District. The recent Mullinax tennis tournament had 64 participants, which is the biggest turnout that they've ever had. Recreation District Director Richard Wright says that Little Guy Football is also experiencing record numbers.
