Extra Hunting Opportunities for Area Hunters This Fall

There will be a lot of extra oppurtunities for hunters in the Sheridan region this fall.

Two Motions Tabled in Bear Cloud Case

Attorneys in the Wyatt Bear Cloud segment of the Ernst Murder Case went before Judge John Fenn in 4th Judicial District Court Tuesday for a Motion Hearing. Judge Fenn said that there were two motions to be discussed: a Motion to Change Venue; and a Motion to Suppress.

Mikah Kadera Arraigned on Email Threat

22-year-old Mikah Kadera, with his attorney Hardy Tate representing him, was arraigned Tuesday morning in 4th Judicial District Court on one count of Felony Blackmail / Extortion, which holds a potential sentence of ten years in prison, a $10,000 fine, or both.

Jennifer Edwards Changes Plea

32-year-old Sheridan resident Jennifer Edwards changed her plea to “Guilty” in 4th Judicial District Court Tuesday morning on one Felony Count of Child Endangerment. Per a plea agreement with the State, Edwards may face 2 to 4 years incarceration in the women's penitentiary, suspended, with four years supervised probation.

Tiny Trio Triumphs at 4-H Fair

All eyes were up front and center as Jar Jar Binks, Gizmo, and Chinvador entered the Pavilion at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds Tuesday afternoon.  The tiny threesome, made up of two chinchillas and one lonely hamster, were the entire line-up for the 4-H Pocket Pet Show.

2010 American Legion State Baseball Tournament Opens in Sheridan Today

WYOMING AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL STATE TOURNAMENT - The state American legion baseball tournament starts this morning at Thorne-rider stadium. Cheyenne Post 6 has won eight of the last nine state titles. Gillette took the crown from Post 6 in 2008 before Cheyenne won it again last summer and coming into this year's tournament they are the favorite to repeat.

More Fires on the 90-Degrees Horizon

A 3-acre timber fire started Sunday on the Crow Reservation's Pryor Mountains is now under control according to fire officials. BIA Crow Agency Information Officer Jon Kohn says the fire is considered to be on “patrol status,” meaning they don't expect this fire to grow or stay hot.
