Sam's Trophy, which is a life size bronze of Sam Mavrakis carrying the head of an elk over his shoulders, now has a permanent home. The sculpture was moved to the corner of Coffeen Street and Gould Monday morning.
The official dedication of the new Kleenburn Recreation Area, in conjunction with the Wyoming Game & Fish Free Fishing Day, brought out over 150 people to enjoy a nice summer day Saturday. And it sure didn’t hurt that the Sheridan County Commissioners served up lunch for the crowd either.
Saturday, the Sheridan County Historical Society and its museum hosted its third annual Community Appreciation Day at the museum. The event commemorated the Historical Society’s 50th anniversary, but also was a celebration of the fact that the mortgage of the 6,800 square foot museum was paid off last December.
Nearly thirty service organizations are coming together in one location this Thursday, June 10th to offer the public an opportunity to learn about how they may be of assistance for a wide variety of needs.
