Longtime Ranchester Mayor Cliff Clevenger has officially filed as a candidate for the Sheridan County Commission in this year's election. Clevenger stopped by the Sheridan Media Newsroom Monday just after filing at the Courthouse.

The City of Sheridan Planning and Zoning Commission approved the final plat for the Bridgecreek Planned Unit Development at their meeting Monday night. The PUD is just north of Smith Street and west of Jefferson Street, and sits on 2.4 acres just east of Kendrick Park. There are a total of fourteen units -- one existing home that has been refurbished, and thirteen new units that will be built.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Many truckers have parked their rigs in southeastern Wyoming rather than risk driving in high winds. The Wyoming Highway Patrol says two semitrailers blew over on Interstate 25 near Cheyenne on Monday afternoon. One driver was slightly injured.

Besides being tasty, fish are high in protein, low in fat, and may be good for your heart and brain. Though there are many health benefits to eating fish, there can be some drawbacks to eating too much.

The National Weather Service in Billings has issued a flood watch for North Central Wyoming, including all of Sheridan County. The flood watch is in effect through Friday morning. Sheridan County Emergency Management Coordinator Dave Coleman says there are a few things that people need to be aware of during a flood watch.

Mother Nature delayed the opening of US 14A for a bit today, as crews with WYDOT had planned on opening the 22-mile stretch of scenic mountain road in the Big Horn Mountains at noon. Inclement weather pushed back that opening; however 14A is now open for the season.
