The cold and windy weather did not stop the Volunteers of America crew from planting trees for Arbor Day. Around 80 volunteers, including both community members and Volunteers' clients, planted four trees on Friday and 35 throughout the week.

Bad debt and charity care expenses are something that nearly every hospital in the country battles with on an annual basis, and Sheridan County Memorial Hospital is no exception. Hospital Chief Financial Officer Ed Johlman says they've experienced a recent spike in both areas.
