Representatives with the Sheridan Housing Action Committee provided the Sheridan City Council with an update on their activities during a work session Monday. SHAC Executive Director Karin Spann stated to the Council that SHAC would like to do an updated community wide survey along with one that is more specific to a certain area of Sheridan.

CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - The Natural Resources Conservation Service reports that Wyoming's statewide snowpack is at 68 percent of average, down from 82 percent two weeks ago. The service reported Monday that the Belle Fourche River drainage in northeast Wyoming was particularly low at only 3 percent of the 30-year average. That means snowpack there has basically melted out.
National Christian recording artists "Kutless," whose song "That's What Faith Can Do" currently sits at the top of the Christian rock charts, will be in Sheridan Thursday for a benefit concert at the Sheridan Wesleyan Church. Sheridan Media's Mary Jo Johnson has more.
Around the country, every state has its own law regarding the legal age that a student may choose to drop out of school. Fifteen states and the District of Columbia have a legal age of 18; eight states have a legal age of 17. Wyoming is one of 27 states where the legal age to drop out is 16.
