Members of the Wyoming Army National Guard embarked on the largest single unit deployment in state history last April. The men and women of that deployment are being briefed in Fort Hood, Texas prior to their return home. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has more.
The Wyoming State Board of Equalization recently reversed a large increase in property tax assessments that were levied on the Sand Creek Ranch in Johnson County in 2008. Sand Creek Ranch General Manager John Jenkins feels that the assessments were excessive and illegal, and he's happy that the Board agreed.
GILLETTE, (AP) - The body of a Wyoming Marine who was killed in Afghanistan will be flown to Gillette on Wednesday, and his funeral is scheduled for Thursday. The Defense Department says 19-year-old Lance Corporal Jacob A. Ross died March 24 in combat operations in Helmand Province.
Last week First Interstate BancSystem, Inc. announced that the SEC had approved its Initial Public Offering to sell 10,000,000 shares of Class A common stock. On February 18th of this year, 4th Judicial District Court Judge John Fenn granted 53-year-old Huntley Rinck the right of Pro Se, or to represent himself. Rinck was charged late last year with Sexual Exploitation of Children after pornographic images were found on a hard drive he'd left in his work computer on October 12th, 2009.
