Green House for Living in Sheridan held a ceremonial groundbreaking in early November of this year. Green House recently requested a fee and permit waiver from the City of Sheridan in the amount of $137,568, which was approved by the City Council this week.

It's become an annual Christmas week tradition, the holiday open house at the Sheridan Recreation District office in Thorne Rider Park. Recreation District Executive Director Richard Wright explains what they'll be doing this Thursday December, 23rd.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell from October to November but by a statistically insignificant amount. The Wyoming Department of Employment says the November unemployment rate of 6.6 percent was down from 6.7 percent in October.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - New U.S. Census figures show that Wyoming's population grew a fair amount faster than the national average from 2000 to 2010. Wyoming remains the least populated state and still ranks second only to Alaska for its low population density.

The Sheridan County School District 1 Board of Trustees held their December meeting last night in Ranchester. Trustees received an audit report from accountants with Porter, Muirhead, Cornia, an accounting firm out of Casper.

The Buffalo City Council will have their last scheduled meeting of 2010 on Tuesday at City Hall in Buffalo. Aaron Palmer has a preview.

Monday we reported that Sheridan / Johnson County author Craig Johnson's Walt Longmire mysteries have been picked up by the cable television network A & E. Producers are set to begin shooting a pilot series called "Longmire." Mary Jo Johnson continues her discussion with Craig about the project.

Music students from Carrington Music House will present a Christmas Recital this Thursday, December 23rd in Buffalo. Aaron Palmer has more.
