The Christmas season officially begins this weekend in Buffalo with a number of events culminating in Saturday night's Lighted Christmas Parade. Sheridan Media News Director for Johnson County, Aaron Palmer, has the details.
In addition to shopping downtown and the Lighted Christmas Parade this Saturday night, Buffalo has a number of other events scheduled throughout the day.
Monday and Tuesday, the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce is holding a “Legislative Forum” in anticipation of the next Wyoming State Legislature session, which convenes in January.
The governors of Idaho, Montana and Wyoming plan to meet with Interior Secretary Ken Salazar in Denver on Monday to talk about wolf management. Relations between the states and the federal government over wolf management have been prickly for years.
Managers at the Shoshone National Forest say they intend to start revising the forest management plan again early next year. Reports indicate that a draft plan could be finished by spring 2012. It will govern forest management for the next 15 years.
