District 1 Hears from Tongue River Schools

During an information-packed Sheridan County School District 1 Board of Trustees meeting Monday evening in Ranchester, two main agenda items filled quite a bit of the three-hour gathering.

Fire Ban Officially Lifted

County fire officials give the "green light" to burning; the fire ban has been lifted as of 10 a.m. October 19th.

Upon the recommendation of Sheridan County Fire Warden Bill Biastoch and the Fire Chiefs of the Rural Fire Protection Districts, the Sheridan County Commissioners have rescinded Resolution 10-07-025 to remove the partial fire restrictions imposed August 3. Lifting of the fire ban is effective as of 10:00 a.m., October 19, 2010.

Big Horn goes for win #8 Friday afternoon

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams are 7-0 and will host Newcastle Friday as they go for an unbeaten regular season Head coach Bert Dow says the Rams are leaving nothing to chance as the expect a good Newcastle team to give them a good test Friday.

Dow says he's been impressed with several things about the rams this year especially after a fast start to the season.
