25-year old Leo Pinnick had his preliminary hearing in Sheridan County Circuit Court Thursday in front of Judge John Sampson. Pinnick is charged with aggravated assault and battery stemming from an incident that occurred in Sheridan during the early morning hours of July 11th, where Pinnick assaulted 24-year old Neil Switzer with a baseball bat and a pipe.

The 3rd Thursday street festival in downtown Sheridan continues to grow, as large crowds of locals meandered through downtown to take in the sights and sounds of the night. Something new to Thursday night's festival was the 1st annual Blue Ribbon Cook-off, where nine participants tested their cooking skills on a 16 oz. cut of rib-eye.

The Hand in Hand Early Childhood Education Center is scheduled to open soon, and it will no doubt help fill the void of quality childcare facilities in Sheridan. Hand in Hand Executive Director Susan Brayton explains why the center will be unique from traditional daycare.

Joey’s Fly Fishing Foundation was started nearly three years ago and has served dozens of children in the program. Sheridan Media News Director Kurt Layher tells us some of the kids are moving into the big time.

Last year Sheridan College broke its all time enrollment record. It looks like they’re going to shatter that record again this year. The catch is that the college district will have to serve more students with less money this year. Sheridan College President Kevin Drumm says that enrollments in Campbell County have risen by more than 40%.

This will be the first full school year with students in the new Tongue River High School. Just as that project was nearing completion, the District started construction on the other side of the county. The Big Horn Middle and High School is progressing a little behind schedule.
