Family Services Renews Contract With Normative Services

Late Friday afternoon the Wyoming Division of Family Services announced that they have renewed their contract with Normative Services Incorporated. DFS terminated their contract with NSI in March of this year following numerous incidents with students at the school.

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBAL - The Sheridan Troopers are still alive at the American Legion north district baseball tournament in Casper. The Troops banged out 17 hits eliminating Lovell Friday 15-10. The Troopers play Gillette today in another loser out game if they win that game they will qualify for the state tournament.

Lummis Grills USDA Chief Over Forest Service Funds

During a House Budget Committee hearing on the allocation of stimulus funds, U.S. Representative Cynthia Lummis expressed her disappointment to Agriculture secretary Tom Vilsack on the lack of forest funds being allocated to Wyoming.

Lummis explains why the lack of funding for the state is unacceptable.

Private Company Wants To Pump Wyoming Water Out Of State

Colorado’s Front Range is thirsty, and a private water company is proposing a solution: pipe in water from Wyoming. The Regional Watershed Supply Project would take 250 thousand acre-feet of water out of the Green River and Flaming Gorge Reservoir each year, and the company designing the project claims it's spare water.

Workforce Services Releases Newest Version Of Online Job Matching System

The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services announced Friday that they have just released Version 10 of their job matching system Wyoming At Work. Department of Workforce Services Director Joan Evans says job seekers and employers will have a choice to either self serve, receive live assistance or a combination of both.
