Green House Living for Sheridan is a project that will offer residential style living quarters to senior citizens needing care. The first phase of the project consists of four homes on a little over two acres of land west of Sheridan Memorial Hospital in the Cloud Peak Estates subdivision.

A phone call Monday from Dr. Larry Lidahl, who partnered with Dr. Pat Cummings at Sheridan Eye Care for 25 years, revealed that Cummings, who had moved to Florida about six years ago, died in a plane crash over the weekend.

A St. Johns County, FL Sheriff's Office spokesman who reached the crash scene on Sunday described a scattered debris field in a heavily wooded area.

Sheridan Police arrested 24-year-old Jacob Sears for allegedly breaking into a vehicle over the weekend. Sears made his initial appearance in Sheridan County Circuit Court yesterday. Judge John Sampson set a $1,500 cash-only bond for the defendant.

On Monday, temperatures rose to just shy of 90 degrees in Sheridan. Our record high was 107 degrees for that date, but there were some areas of town even hotter.
