Weather No Deterrent to Northern Wyoming Crops

(AP) - Despite snow, hail and cold temperatures during the spring, crops in the Big Horn Basin seem to be progressing well so far this growing season. Mike Moore of the University of Wyoming Seed Certification Service says he's heard of no reported crop damage from weather across the Big Horn Basin.

Health Director: “Budget Cuts Underscore Need for Program”

(AP) - The director of the Wyoming Department of Health says budget cuts underscore the need to pursue a pilot program to offer health insurance to people who can't afford it on the open market.

The elite runners are on the course this morning as the 100 mile event of the big horn trail run got started in the tongue river canyon. Last summer course conditions were so tough organizers had to change the route of the race.
