1-A / 2-A State football results

1-A FOOTBALL - The Southeast Cyclones beat Lingle for the class 1-A state championship this afternoon in Laramie.

The Game was played in "Blizzard" conditions with 6 inches of snow falling on War Memorial stadium.
The weather didn't seem to bother the players as Southeast won 27-20.

Books For Babies Arrives At Hospital Again

Most educators will tell you it’s never too early to start reading with our children. Some Tongue River Elementary School students have taken that to heart. Each year the second grade class raises money to purchase books that are given to babies born at Sheridan Memorial Hospital. The “Books for Babies” program has become quite popular.

Lummis Speaks To Capacity Crowd At Sheridan County Courthouse

United States Representative Cynthia Lummis held a town hall meeting yesterday at the Sheridan County Courthouse. The Commissioners meeting room was filled to capacity with people discussing a wide variety of topics. Some of the questions asked of Lummis concerned wilderness areas, fairness doctrines, cap and trade, and healthcare.

Forward Sheridan Looks Back On Last Year

Data centers, ZIRC, energy development, new technologies, and planning were just some of the topics discussed at the annual meeting of Forward Sheridan on Thursday morning. It was the first annual meeting for recently hired executive director Jay Stender.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The top teams in the state meet tomorrow in the 4-A Championship Game. Sheridan beat Cheyenne Central in their regular season meeting; they made a big comeback in the second half. As they get ready to square off again, head coach Don Julian says there's no doubt, Central is a great team.

The SHS Drama Club's Play “The Miracle Worker” Opened Thursday Night At The High School

The Sheridan High School Drama Club's fall play this year is entitled “The Miracle Worker”, which depicts the life story of Helen Keller and Annie Sullivan. The play opened Thursday night at Sheridan High School and will continue tonight and into the weekend.

Cast Member Emma Hall says this play presents a lot of exciting opportunities.
