Sheridan Mayor Responds To Concerns Over Maintenance At The Cemetery

During his monthly visit to KROE'S Public Pulse program Wednesday, Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey listened to a caller's complaint about damage that is being done to headstones at the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. The caller said that she felt the damage was being caused by the riding lawnmowers that are used by the cemetery's maintenance crew.

Index Reveals Catch-22 In Wyoming Economy

CHEYENNE, (AP) - State economic analysts say the cost of living in Wyoming didn't rise in the second quarter of 2009. Thanks to continued drops in the price of gasoline, as well as greatly reduced price increases for housing and food, the state's cost-of-living index was the same as it was in the second quarter of 2008.

Local Businesses Help to Collect Bras for Breast Cancer Awareness

Realtor Nancy Mahon of ERA Carroll Realty's Dayton and Ranchester office will be collecting Bras for Breast Cancer in Dayton and Ranchester for the remainder of today and tomorrow, Thursday, October 8th. People donating bras can can drop them off at ERA Carroll Realty office at 311 Main Street in Dayton until 10 a. m. tomorrow. After hours just leave them in the container on the front porch.

Woman Dies After Being Rescued From Hunting Camp

JACKSON, Wyo., (AP) - Teton County authorities say a 19-year-old California woman is dead after being rescued from a remote hunting camp in the Gros Ventre Wilderness area. Authorities have not yet identified the woman.

Wyoming National Guard Adjutant General to Update Communities

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The adjutant general of the Wyoming National Guard will travel to communities across the state over the next several weeks.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The state of Wyoming has launched a Web site intended to give citizens easier access to information about the state's finances. The new site will provide information about state budgets, investments, annual reports and other documents and information.

The Broncs picked up all but one 1st place vote in this week's balloting, outdistancing 2nd-ranked Green River. Cheyenne Central jumps to #3 this week after whipping Gillette.

Public Hearing Set To Debate Groundwater Protection Areas

The County Planning Department has completed Phase II of the Groundwater Protection Area assessment. The County will consider amending the subdivision resolution to create the protection area and limit conventional subdivision lot sizes to a minimum of five acres in these areas.
