Friday Football

Friday night the Sheridan Broncs ended the season with a 35 to 28 win over Casper Natrona. The broncs have the best record in class 4a football in Wyoming. They now have 8 wins with 1 loss. Next week the playoffs start and the broncs will play at Homer Scott Feild.

The Tongue River eagles ended their season Friday afternoon with a 47-20 loss. They did not make the playoffs.

Saturday, October 25th

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs closed out the regular season last night at Natrona County. The Broncs took the game 35-28 to end the regular season with a record of 8-1, including an 8-game winning streak. The Broncs have the #1-seed heading into the play-offs next Friday. They will host Natrona county at Homer Scott Stadium.

Lander Man Enters Plea In Hatchet Attack

LANDER, (AP) - A Lander man accused of attacking a police officer with a hatchet has pleaded not guilty by reason of mental illness or deficiency. George A. Dewey Jr. also entered a not guilty plea to various charges that include attempted first-degree murder during his arraignment Thursday in Lander.

Wyoming Mom Accused Of Killing Baby Pleads Not Guilty

LANDER, (AP) - A Riverton mother accused of strangling her newborn has pleaded not guilty by reason of mental illness or deficiency. Lorene Quist Gines is charged with first-degree murder for allegedly strangling her baby with a string shortly after giving birth Sept. 8. Gines entered her plea in Ninth District Court in Lander on Thursday.

Wyoming Lawmakers Hosting Neighbors For Western States Energy Symposium

CHEYENNE, (AP) - Lawmakers in the Cowboy State have invited their neighbors to parley on energy issues, and they're putting up more than $400,000 to pick up the tab. Lawmakers from around the West are set to gather in the resort town of Jackson for the three-day Western States Energy and Environment Symposium starting Sunday.

New Event Added To Sheridan WYO Rodeo For 2010

The Sheridan WYO Rodeo board announced yesterday, they will be adding a new event to the Rodeo Week celebration next year. The 4th annual Chris LeDoux Spurs and Spikes Memorial Golf Tournament will take place July 9th and 10th at the Powder Horn.
