SHS We the People Team Wins State for 4th Consecutive Year

For the fourth consecutive year, the Sheridan High School We the People team is Wyoming’s state champions. The team’s Coach Tyson Emborg, said that he was very pleased with the competition.

Winner of the Big Game 51 Giveaway

Lisa Fauber of Sheridan is the winner of Sheridan Media’s Big Game 51 Giveaway. Fauber signed up at Killy’s Deli one time and that was all it took to take home a big prize for Sunday’s game.

Council Authorizes Loan Applications

Sheridan's City Council has approved resolutions that clear the way for the city to apply for more than $2 million in loans to fund extension of water and sewer service to the north end of Sheridan.

The Antelope Butte Foundation is in the process of reinventing the old Antelope Butte Ski Area into a year round outdoor recreation facility. The foundation is aiming to have limited operations going on the new Antelope Butte Mountain Recreation Area as soon as this summer.

Water Line Break Fixed Saturday

Early Friday morning, a water line sprung a leak on Sheridan’s Kentucky Avenue near the southeast end of the Sheridan County Fairgrounds. The leak flowed down several adjacent streets causing slushy and icy conditions.

Structure Fire at Local Business

Sheridan Fire and Rescue responded to the report of a structure fire late Sunday Evening on Sheridan’s Brundage Lane. According to Fire Chief Terry Lenhart, the structure turned out to be a local business.

Ken Lavigne at the WYO

On Tuesday, the Sheridan WYO Theater will present “Ken Lavigne, the Road to Carnegie Hall”. According to Erin Butler, the WYO’s Executive Director, Lavigne is a classically trained tenor vocalist.
