G&F Stocks 'Catchable Trout' In Clear Creek

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department, on Wednesday, stocked over 400 “catchable trout” in Buffalo's Clear Creek.

The trout were transported over the Bighorn Mountains that morning by Greg Lehr, Fish Culturist at the Tillett Fish Rearing Station near Lovell, where the trout came from.

Concert in the Park

The first Concert in the Park was held Tuesday night at the bandshell at Kendrick Park in Sheridan. The large crowd was treated to a special evening of music as the U.S. Air Force Academy Band made a stop in Sheridan as part of the group’s tour through Wyoming, South Dakota and Nebraska.

“A Portrait in Place” Exhibit

An artists’ reception was held Tuesday night in the Ucross Foundation Art Gallery near Clearmont featuring the ‘land art’ of the foundation. Called “A Portrait in Place,” the exhibit features the work of six artists who have recently been artists-in-residency at Ucross.

Farmers Market Begins a Week From Thursday

The Sheridan Farmers Market is set to begin Thursday, July 9 on Grinnell Plaza in downtown Sheridan. The market will run each Thursday from 5 to 7 through September 24. Market Manager Bonnie Gregory says that she expects big things for this year’s market.
