‘Behind the Scenes Saturday’

The Sheridan County Museum started its “Behind the Scenes Saturday” program in 2013 during the off-season as a means to give the public a glimpse of what goes on at the museum on a day-to-day basis.

Kennon Announces New CEO

Kennon Products, Inc, of Sheridan has announced that Joe Wright has been promoted to chief executive officer of the company. According to a news release from Kennon, Wright previously served as executive vice president and will now succeed Ron Kensey, the company’s founder and former CEO.

Public Welcome to Cowboy Hall of Fame Reception

Five men will be honored Saturday for living a true western cowboy life. They’ve been chosen as the first group inducted into the Wyoming Cowboy Hall of Fame for Region 5, which includes both Sheridan and Johnson counties.

8th Annual Fireman’s Ball

Saturday night, the local firemen shined in their dress uniforms and their ladies in their finest and invited the community to a dance, both to get the firefighters out in the public and letting the public meet their firefighters.

A guest room at Sheridan's Mill Inn was damaged Saturday morning when a guest staying in a different room crashed into the exterior wall.

An incident that occurred this morning in which a car crashed into the Mill Inn, located in Sheridan, on the side of the historic building that faces E. Brundage Lane has resulted in significant damage to one of the rooms in the building. Responders included the Sheridan Police Department and Sheridan Fire-Rescue.

Lummis Says Mineral Royalties, Wolf Bills Critical

Cynthia Lummis, Wyoming’s sole representative in the United States House of Representatives, said this week saw the introduction of two bipartisan bills that are "critical to the state"-- a mineral royalty bill and a wolf bill.
