2016 WYO Rodeo Week Begins / Troopers Take Two From Laurel / Rockies end the First Half With a Loss

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers swept a double header with Laurel, Montana Saturday they took the first game 5-1 and whipped the Dodgers in game two 13-1 Head coach Ben Phillips says overall the Troops had a very good day.

They now have a record of 34-20 overall tomorrow they play two in Billings with the Billings Royals and Phillips says it's two more games against another very good opponent.

The Troops will be back home for two Thursday night against Cody first pitch will be at 5:00.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers will get back into action tomorrow after a four day break they host a double header with Laurel, Montana the first game will get underway at 1:00.

Head coach Ben Phillips says they enjoyed a few days off and can expect a good test tomorrow with Laurel.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are off until Saturday when they host a double header at 1:00 with Laurel, Montana.

They are hosting their youth baseball camp which will conclude tomorrow, Head coach Ben Phillips says they have a good group of campers this year.

And he's says it's nice to have a few days off during the camp as they get ready for Saturday's double header.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers split two games with Gillette Tuesday night the Troops took game one 11-5 and Gillette won the second game 13-5 the Troopers are now 33-20 overall and are off until Saturday when they host a double header at 1:00 with Laurel, Montana.

The Troopers open their youth baseball camp today the camp runs through Friday from 9:00 to 1:00 each day at Thorne-Rider stadium the camp will culminate with a Wiffleball tournament.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers played at a tournament in Cheyenne over the holiday weekend they went 4-1 with victories against teams from Colorado and Texas the only loss came against Wyoming rival Post 6 from Cheyenne.

The Troopers are 32-19 overall and they play at home tonight with two games with Gillette the first game will start at 5:00.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers opened a tournament in Cheyenne yesterday in the first game against Casper they beat the Oilers for the 4th straight time winning 14-4 they came back with a 1-0 win over Colorado Catalyst.

Today's games will be against a team Lubbock,Texas and Cheyenne Post 6 the tournament runs through Sunday.

The Troopers are eleven games over .500 at 29-18 and with four weeks left until the state tournament begins Head coach Ben Phillips says the Troops right now are in mid season form and playing well.

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers take a 27-18 record on the road for more tournament action starting this afternoon in Cheyenne.

They open the tournament against Casper and the Colorado Catalyst Academy from Golden, Colorado.

The Troopers are coming off an extended road trip and Head coach Ben Phillips says the players gave a good accounting of themselves against some very good teams.

And he says it's another good stretch of games this week against more good competition.
