TROOPERS REACH ALL-TIME WIN RECORD / BRONCOS OPEN PRESEASON CAMP

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers swept a double header from Riverton Sunday they blew out the Raiders 21-0 in the first game.

The Troops batted around twice in the bottom of the first inning scoring 12 runs, in the second inning they sent 13 men to the plate and scored nine more the game was called in the 3rd inning because of the 20 run rule.

Schiller Murphy was the starting pitcher he face ten batters and gave up no hits our walks and struck out two.

TROOPERS BACK IN ACTION THIS WEEKEND / PLAY AT HOME SUNDAY

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers will play a double header in Sturgis, South Dakota tomorrow and then back home for two Sunday with Riverton. They end their regular season with a double header Monday in Miles City, Montana.

The Troops went unbeaten in conference play and will take a 38-9 record into action this weekend.

The season will change next week as the post season begins and we asked Head coach Ben Phillips if his approach to coaching the team would change at all once the tournament season starts.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers will play a double header in Sturgis Saturday and then back home for two Sunday with Riverton. the first game is set to start at noon and we will have it live on 14-10 KWYO.

They end their regular season with a double header Monday in Miles City, Montana.

They open post season play next Wednesday and Head coach Ben Phillips says they'll use the next six games as prep for the district tournament.

SHERIDAN LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL

The Sheridan minors (9-10 year olds) Little League team won their second game at their district tournament in Gillette Tuesday.

The game was delayed by in the top of the second inning. Resumed play at 8 pm after the opening ceremonies and festivities.The Sheridan boys took the game 23-9.

They batted around twice in the 4th inning to blow the game open. As the #1 seed in their pool, they will start bracket play on Thursday at 7pm. In order to punch their ticket to the state tournament in Green River, they must win Thursday night.

BRONC FOOTBALL / TROOPER BASEBALL / JR. VOLLEYBALL

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football program will have three new assistant coaches when they open fall camp august sixth one of the new coaches will be former Bronc standout Jeff Martini.

Head coach Don Julian says he's pleased with all three hires as they get ready to defend their 2011 state title.

And Julian says all three have fit in with the current staff and he's happy the direction the Broncs are heading going into a new season.
